Meet Our Speakers
Amanda Day, GPC, and Kimberly Hays de Muga, GPC, are co-founders of HayDay Services, a grant and fundraising training company, and co-hosts of the podcast Fundraising HayDay. Together, they’ve raised and managed millions of dollars in grant funding and trained more than 20,000 professionals in the art and science of grant management and fundraising. Combined, they bring 55+ years of hands-on experience in this work — not just theory.
Amanda Day
Amanda is a former local government grants administrator who began her career managing grants for the City of Morrow, Georgia, and later the City of Alpharetta. She’s worked across grant prospect research, proposal development, and federal and state grant management, helping fund everything from transportation infrastructure and outdoor recreation to first responder equipment and stormwater improvements. She later supported grant-seeking for faith-based organizations and nonprofits through a consulting agency. A past president of both the Grant Professionals Association and the Grant Professionals Certification Institute, Amanda received the Grant Professionals Distinguished Fellow Award in 2024.
Kimberly Hays de Muga
Kimberly is a trainer and coach in nonprofit capacity building, grant writing, fundraising, and board development, with more than 25 years of experience raising over $100 million from individuals, foundations, corporations, and government funders across education, health, and human services — from food banks to pediatric hospitals to statewide mental health coalitions. She previously served as Development Director at the Frazer Center, Senior Manager for Foundation and Corporate Relations at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, and Senior Grant Writer for the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation. A past Board member of the Grant Professionals Association and past Chair of the Grant Professionals Foundation, Kimberly received the Grant Professionals Distinguished Fellow Award in 2026.
